About the NTUC Care Fund (e-Vouchers) Programme

Application Period: 1 August 2020 to 31 August 2020.

Please note that the application must be submitted with full supporting documents by 31st August.

NTUC is introducing a new $6 million care and support programme to help our lower-income members. The NTUC Care Fund (e-Vouchers) programme aims to assist our lower-income members to defray cost of basic necessities and their children’s school expenses for the new school year, where a total of 29,000 members will benefit.

This programme replaces the discontinued U Stretch and Back to School Vouchers programme, where eligible members can receive up to $100 in vouchers, and an additional $100 per eligible school-going child. 

What will you receive?

Eligible members may stand to receive:

1Refers to children staying in the same household as the member in Singapore and attending school in 2021 at an eligible educational institution in Singapore as follows:

  • Kindergarten 1 or 2;
  • Government / Government-Aided / Independent Schools (Primary or Secondary) under the Ministry of Education (MOE);
  • Junior Colleges; Institute of Technical Education; Millennia Institute; Polytechnics; OR
  • Special Education Schools

Note: Graduating students (e.g. final year junior college students) who will not be attending school in Year 2021 will not be eligible.

Income and Eligibility Criteria

The NTUC Care Fund (e-Vouchers) are valid till 30 April 2021. Strictly no extension will be granted after the voucher expiry date.

When will members know the results of their application?

Auto-Qualifying Applicants
• End July 2020: Members will receive an SMS informing them on their auto-qualification for the 2020 NTUC Care Fund (e-Vouchers).
• End August 2020: Members will receive an SMS for their vouchers.
• Mid November 2020: Members who had appealed for additional school-going children will receive an SMS for their appeal successful vouchers.

New Applicants
• End October 2020: Members will receive their e-vouchers by SMS if they are successful.

SMS will contain the URL to open the e-voucher and a 4-digit pin code. Both will be required to redeem the e-vouchers.

*Note: It is important that mobile numbers are updated, to receive e-vouchers.
